Inspired by Isle of Man TT record holder and Weise®-supported racer Peter Hickman, the new-for-2019 Ascari combines the close fit, styling and features of a racing jacket, with the comfort and versatility of a road-going textile.
Designed with sport and street bike riders in mind, the Ascari is tailored for a close fit and features Velcro® retained sleeve adjusters to reduce billowing, plus an aerodynamic ‘race hump’ to smooth out airflow over the head and neck.
Built to last, it has a tough 600 denier fabric outer shell, with TPU shoulder reinforcement cups on the outside, and CE-approved shoulder, elbow and back armour on the inside. A trouser connection zip – with comfort stretch fabric – prevents the jacket ‘riding up’ whilst in a sporty riding position.
Rain, wind and weather is kept out with a waterproof, windproof and breathable liner, while warmth is kept in by a 120-gram thermal quilted lining. When the temperature rises, this can be removed, and zipped vents at the shoulders and rear torso can be opened up for cooling airflow.
Elbow stretch panels provide flexibility and there are two external pockets with zipped closure, pus two internal pockets, to carry everyday essentials.
