Combining accessible pricing with a specification that punches well above its weight, the LS2 Rapid has become a go-to for UK riders on a budget. Now, the third generation takes that winning formula and refines it further.
STABILITY AND WEIGHT
Designed for all-day comfort, the Rapid III features a new Rear Aero Spoiler that improves airflow and increases stability at higher speeds – a feature typically reserved for significantly more expensive helmets.
Combined with the low weight – tipping the scales at just 1350 grams – it reduces strain on neck muscles during motorway runs and faster rides.
SAFETY
The HPTT (High Pressure Thermoplastic Technology) shell is certified to the latest ECE 22.06 standard and comes in three outer shell sizes across the range, ensuring a compact, close-fitting profile regardless of head size – crucial for both aerodynamics and safety performance.
The Micrometric Buckle delivers quick, secure fastening, while the Reinforced Chin Strap with Metal Security Plate provides peace of mind in the event of an accident.
COMFORT
Ventilation is taken care of by LS2’s Dynamic Flow-Through Ventilation system, which channels fresh air through the helmet to keep the wearer comfortable in changing conditions.
Inside, the fully removable, washable liner wicks moisture away from the skin, and is both hypoallergenic and antibacterial. The Extra Comfort Liner fabric adds a dash of daily luxury, and a Chin Curtain helps to reduce intrusive wind noise.
VISOR
Up front, the visor now seals against a Double-Injection Rubber Seal for improved weather protection and reduced noise. It’s scratch- and UV-resistant, and comes ready to accept a Pinlock 70 MaxVision insert, for fog-free vision.
LS2’s Quick Release System means visor changes remain tool-free and straightforward.
