Whether heading off for a weekend away or setting out on a more ambitious tour, most modern classics are more than capable of tackling the journey. For many riders the biggest challenge will be finding practical luggage that won’t ruin the bike’s appearance.
Plastic or metal cases will look out of place and require sturdy metal frames that are permanently bolted to the motorcycle, while universal soft luggage, like throw-over panniers and magnetic tank bags, can scuff paintwork and are often a faff to fit securely.
