The award was bestowed, due to the dealer’s high scoring on both qualitive and quantitative key performance indicators. DMC was found to have excellent satisfaction ratings from their customers on both sales and service and was commended for their proactivity online through social media and E-commerce. The group was also hailed for its customer engagement through marketing and customer events and the substantial investment the group had contributed to the brand.
The DMC group is made up of four solus Ducati dealerships, Ducati Manchester, Ducati Stoke, Ducati Preston and the recently opened Ducati Worcester.
The business was formed in March 2002 with Ducati Manchester, located in Knutsford and was the first of the ‘Ducati stores’ in the UK. In 2009, Ducati Manchester moved to its current site in Sale and became the World’s first outlet to follow a new store concept. The same year the group also opened DMC Preston followed by Ducati Stoke in 2015. This year they have opened another new store, Ducati Worcester whilst the Preston site is currently relocating to a new 12,000 sq ft showroom with a full refurbishment to bring it up to store status and therefore become Ducati Preston.
Chris Booth, Managing Director, DMC Group
“I was honoured and very proud to receive this award and be recognised by Claudio Domenicali and Francesco Milicia. Ducati has been my life since 2002 and my passion since 1994 when local lad Carl Fogarty rode the 916 to the World title. This award is not about me, but the whole team, our customers, family and friends and of course Ducati UK, who without we would not be where we are today. I am proud that this is the first time this award has come to the UK.”
Tim Maccabee, Managing Director, Ducati UK
“It was a real pleasure to be able to join Chris on the stage at our annual global conference to mark this significant achievement. It is particularly satisfying to see a long-standing Dealer partner developing the business to cover 4 sites with carefully planned investment, plus of course a lot of hard-work and commitment”
