Hearing protection specialists Auritech have teamed up with London’s Bike Shed Moto Co. for Tinnitus Week 2026, supplying 100 free sets of earplugs to UK motorcyclists.
Surrey-based hearing protection experts Auritech are joining forces with the UK’s most popular biker hot spot, Bike Shed Moto Co. in London, this Tinnitus Week in a bid to raise awareness of the condition which affects nearly one million motorcyclists in the UK.
The collaboration will see Auritech supplying 100 free sets of its highly rated Universal Fit Biker Earplugs to Bike Shed members. During Tinnitus Week 2026, 2nd–9th February, members of the Bike Shed will simply need to show staff their membership card in store to claim a free pair of Auritech earplugs. The first 100 members to claim the earplugs will receive them there and then, meaning they can ride away immediately knowing their hearing is fully protected.

Data from Tinnitus UK reveals one in seven adults are affected by tinnitus, a condition that causes persistent ringing, buzzing or hissing in the ears. There is currently no cure for tinnitus, but it is preventable.
Noise becomes a risk to hearing health at levels of 80 decibels (dB) or above. Riding noise levels depend on speed, and are a combination of engine noise, road noise and wind noise, but they are generally between 85-95 dB at speeds of around 35 mph, climbing to 110-116 dB at 65 mph. At these levels, irreversible damage can occur to hearing in less than one minute.
