Z125 And Ninja 125 For Kawasaki 2027 RangeAs a “first step” into the world of motorcycling – and the legendary Kawasaki brand – many new riders have an exciting choice… Ninja or Z.

Featuring a machine in each brand family of the 125cc segment, European A1 licence holders can decide between the unique Sugomi style of the Z125 or the “fresh from the race track” appearance of the Ninja 125. Both machines display all the presence, qualities and engineering excellence of their larger capacity stablemates and both are supported by Kawasaki’s dedicated dealer network.

With an enviable heritage that stretches back to 1972 for the Z brand and 1984 in terms of the Ninja line, the lineage of these two thoroughly modern machines is inescapable. Each utilise a tubular trellis type chassis construction similar to Kawasaki’s top of the range Supercharged Ninja and Z machines. For these 125cc offerings, the focus on an idealised balance of style, engineering and durability that entry level riders rightly expect.

For naked bike fans, the Z125 bathes in Kawasaki’s unique Sugomi* design approach balancing engineering features with dedicated styling elements while being the smallest in the revered Kawasaki naked class family sharing the same frame technology and engine configuration as its 125cc capacity sibling.

The Ninja 125 has bodywork echoing that of Ninja racing machines and is equipped with a 14PS (10.4 kW) engine offering ease of riding plus the classic Ninja urge throughout the rev range. Reassuring around town and with great low to mid-range flexibility, the rider feels the benefit of Supersport ergonomics and a cockpit view that encompasses all-digital instrumentation. Add Uni-Trak rear suspension, ø37 mm telescopic front forks plus dependable ABS brakes and the Ninja 125 is a safe yet dynamic choice.

With both models being A1 European licence compliant, the Z125 is also equipped with the same suspension set up and, likewise, benefits from all-digital meters and advanced ABS braking plus the option of a -25mm lower accessory rider seat while the Ninja has a +20mm higher rider accessory seat available.

For 2027, the Z125 and Ninja 125 both offer a great introduction to the world of motorcycling.

Colours, pricing and availability for 2027:

Z125 will be available from November, with prices starting from £4,299:

  • METALLIC SPARK BLACK
  • PEARL STORM GRAY / EBONY / METALLIC GREEN

*Sugomi describes core performance and styling elements found in Kawasaki’s Z Supernaked models. Imbued with Sugomi, their performance excites; a ride on a Z Supernaked is a visceral experience that stimulates the senses; engine and chassis tuning deliver a high level of control. Sugomi is also evident in their sharp styling, dynamic crouching form, and distinct silhouette.
