The Triumph Thruxton RS Chrome Edition

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

The Triumph Thruxton RS is a stunning and powerful motorcycle that has been turning heads since its release. With its classic design and modern performance features, this bike has quickly become a favourite among motorcycle enthusiasts.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

In 2023 Triumph brought out Chrome Editions of their Modern Classic line ups “Inspired by the classic custom look that has been a significant part of Triumph’s iconic history, from the original chromed tank of the 1937 Speed Twin to the 1960s Tritons, and all the way up to the birth of the custom classic generation, this new collection of beautiful, limited editions celebrates the craftsmanship and artistry that sits at the heart of Triumph’s DNA.”

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

The Triumph Thruxton has been an iconic motorcycle since its first release in the 60’s. The Thruxton was named after the famous Thruxton Circuit, where Triumph had a lot of success. Fast forward to today, and the Thruxton, is a modern classic that pays homage to its rich history while incorporating the latest technology and engineering.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

The Triumph Thruxton Chrome Edition is a retro-inspired motorcycle that pays homage to the cafe racer culture of the 1960s. With its Stunning heritage-inspired full chrome tank with a subtle and classy Jet Black painted seam. Sleek lines, chrome accents, and classic styling, Matching Jet Black mudguards, side panels, seat cowl and headlight bowl this bike exudes a sense of timeless elegance. The chrome detailing on the tank and exhaust pipes gives the Thruxton a distinctive look that sets it apart from other motorcycles on the market.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

When it comes to performance the Chrome Edition does not disappoint the bike is powered by the divine Bonneville 1,200cc parallel-twin engine that produces an impressive amount of power. With a peak output of 103bhp and 112 nm of torque, this bike is capable of reaching top speeds with ease. The engine is mated to a smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission that allows riders to seamlessly navigate through gears while enjoying a thrilling ride.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

One of the standout features of the Triumph Thruxton Chrome Edition is its exceptional handling and comfort, with fully adjustable Showa 43mm USD big piston forks and twin Öhlins shocks with piggyback reservoirs deliver 120mm of refined wheel travel which delivers quite a planted ride on uneven surfaces despite its suspension being oriented towards athletic characteristics. Twin Brembo M50 4-piston radial monobloc calipers with 310mm discs offer modern sportsbike levels of braking.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

In terms of design, the Thruxton features a low-slung café racer-style seat (no pillion), a classic round headlight, and a sleek fuel tank. The bike also features a modern analogue/digital instrument cluster, LED lighting, and a twin-sided swingarm. You can also purchase a Dolphin cockpit fairing to bring even more custom classic style to this special edition but personally I think it spoils the look. With a nod to the modern era its also includes an immobiliser and under seat USB charging.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

In addition to its classic design and impressive performance, the Triumph Thruxton Chrome Edition also boasts a range of unique features that set it apart from other motorcycles in its class. One of the standout features is the chrome detailing, which adds a touch of sophistication and style to the bike. The Thruxton Chrome also comes equipped with modern technology such as ABS, traction control, and ride-by-wire throttle for added safety and convenience.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

The Triumph Thruxton Chrome Edition was priced at the time competitively among other motorcycles in its class, making it an attractive option for riders looking for a premium bike at a reasonable price.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

In conclusion, the Triumph Thruxton Chrome Edition is a standout motorcycle that blends classic styling with modern performance. With its powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design, this bike offers a thrilling and enjoyable riding experience for motorcycle enthusiasts of all levels. As for the riding experience, the Thruxton RS combines the best of both aggressive riding experience and traditional café racer goodness. If you’re looking for a classic cafe racer look with modern features, then the Thruxton RS is an obvious choice.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome Edition

Whilst I’m not going to lie I’m really not a fan of the chrome tank I really do think Thruxton RS (especially in black) is a stunning bike. Overall, it ticks all the vital boxes and delivers great value for its price which may seem a bit on the higher side to some, but the flawless finishing and the fun riding experience make up for it.

This Chrome edition of the Thruxton RS was only available for one year and the bike is no longer available to buy new with the 2024 Thruxton Final Edition being the final model I really hope that Triumph come out with something similar.

The Triumph Thruxton Rs Chrome EditionLike with the Triumph Bobber this is a naked bike so once you take it above say 50 mph you will get buffeted about. You could invest in their cockpit fairing but personally I think it ruins the looks.
