As riders begin to plan the new riding season and return to longer journeys, GIVI introduces the V49 AIR, a spacious 49-litre top case designed to enhance comfort and stability when carrying extra luggage. It is the first top case ever tested in the Pininfarina wind tunnel, underlining GIVI’s commitment to aerodynamic innovation and real-world riding performance.
The V49 AIR integrates GIVI’s patented WINGFLOW® system, developed through extensive wind-tunnel testing. This technology employs four lateral fins with diffusers to manage airflow more effectively, reducing turbulence, vibration and aerodynamic noise at the rear of the motorcycle.

Spacious, practical and built for daily use
Despite its generous 49-litre capacity, capable of accommodating two full-face helmets, the V49 AIR maintains a compact footprint (620 mm × 470 mm × 305 mm) and supports up to 10 kg of load. Its exterior has been refined to balance volume with aerodynamic efficiency, ensuring that increased storage does not compromise handling.
Everyday practicality is further enhanced by the new 60° lock-opening position, which allows the rider to remove the key while keeping the lid accessible—ideal for quick stops or short commutes. Full detachment from the bike requires a 90° turn, maintaining security when parked.

As part of the Monokey® family, the V49 AIR offers the hallmark convenience of GIVI’s single-key operation and broad compatibility with existing Monokey® racks. This system ensures fast, secure fitting and removal, making the top case a versatile solution for both touring setups and daily riding.

Developed with a focus on fluid airflow, the V49 AIR features sleek, modern lines that highlight its aerodynamic purpose. The upper shell includes a paint-ready surface, allowing seamless integration with the motorcycle’s colour scheme or personalised finishes. The WINGFLOW fins contribute not only to technical performance but also to a distinctive, contemporary aesthetic.
