The shell design is complemented by a six-density EPS liner and premium interior lining. The interior EPS structure is engineered to provide rotational impact protection, as well as optimal overall impact absorption.
Extensive wind tunnel development focused on minimizing drag and optimizing aerodynamic stability results in reduced neck strain during long rides. The helmet incorporates 10 ventilation ports for optimal air circulation, enhancing comfort across all riding scenarios.
The S-R7 incorporates Alpinestars patented A-Head system. This system allows for easy fine-tuning of how the helmet fits on the rider’s head, both in height and angle. This provides for the best fit and angle of vision, according to the rider’s preference.
The S-R7 is A-Connect ready, enabling seamless integration with Alpinestars’ all-new, full-feature Helmet Communication System.

SUPERTECH R7 HELMET TECHNICAL FEATURES
OUTER SHELL
Homologated to ECE 22.06 and DOT standards, the S-R7 features an advanced multi-composite shell construction using pre-preg epoxy resin for maximum strength and performance. Its carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass layers deliver lightweight construction while providing exceptional energy dissipation, radial strength, and penetration resistance.
The streamlined aerodynamic profile incorporates collarbone recesses on each side, fitted with dual PLASMA inserts designed to enhance shock absorption and reduce the risk of injury during impact or slide events.

Shield View
Engineered for exceptional visibility, the S-R7 provides 220° peripheral vision and 57° vertical vision, enhanced through an optimized eye port and refined head positioning.
INNER SHELL
The inner shell features a multi-density EPS liner constructed from seven strategically positioned pieces in six densities for optimized impact absorption. The EPS liner is engineered with a unique dimension specific to each helmet size, aligned with the three outer shell sizes for precise fit and performance consistency.
The EPS surface is flush and incorporates Alpinestars’ patented coating, developed to deliver proven rotational impact protection. This low-friction slip plane is designed to mimic the brain’s natural cerebrospinal fluid — the body’s inherent defense against oblique impacts. By reducing rotational acceleration of the brain within the skull during impact, this technology helps mitigate the risk of brain injuries.
The S-R7 exceeds the ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 80%.
The S-R7 delivers ultra-low drag and exceptional high-speed stability, reducing rider fatigue and neck strain.
Its aerodynamically optimized shell features an integrated spoiler designed to minimize turbulence and drag, while lateral winglets enhance stability at speed.

Ventilation Ports
The S-R7 is optimized for airflow with a total of 10 ventilation ports: six intake ports (three in the chin guard and three on the top of the helmet), regulated by a slidable top vent mechanism, and four exhaust ports (two lateral chin bar ports and two rear ports).
Air entering through the chin vents is channeled toward the inner surface of the shield to help prevent fogging and misting.
The full-width top vent section is slidable, allowing riders to expose three internal air channels for maximum airflow and cooling performance. Chin bar extractor vents are engineered to efficiently evacuate warm, humid air from within the helmet.
The helmet is equipped with an ECE 22.06 homologated Optical Class 1 shield featuring double-sided anti-scratch treatment. Shield thickness ranges from 1.6 mm at the sides to 2.6 mm at the center for enhanced impact resistance. Integrated pins allow for attachment of the included Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ anti-fog lens.
The visor can be quickly removed or replaced via a secure, tool-less quick-release mechanism, ensuring a complete seal against the helmet’s rubber window trim.
A-HEAD FITMENT SYSTEM
The S-R7 features Alpinestars’ patented A-Head fitment system, enabling riders to fine-tune both helmet height and angle. A micro-adjustable pad connected to the inner EPS liner allows an ultra-specific setup that adapts to how deeply the rider’s head sits in the helmet and how far forward or backward it is tilted, delivering the ultimate personalized fit.
REMOVABLE LINING
All internal linings are removable and washable, constructed from fabrics with antimicrobial treatments.
Cheek pads feature fitted 3D foam with integrated channels to accommodate eyewear, an Emergency Release System (ERS), and a built-in hydration tube channel.
