1. Kawasaki Confirms 2027 W230 UK Price and AvailabilityKawasaki has confirmed that the retro-styled W230 continues for 2027, arriving in UK dealerships during August in Ebony at £4,654.
Modern Classic Motorcycle News - Kindle Edition
The specification remains centred on its 233cc air-cooled SOHC single-cylinder engine, lightweight chassis, low seat, spoked wheels, steel mudguards and traditional analogue-style instruments. No significant mechanical changes have been announced.
Why it matters: The W230 is one of the most affordable authentic modern classics available in Britain and an accessible option for newer, returning and A2-category riders.

2. BSA Gold Star 650 Gains Birmingham Blue and Brooklands Black Editions
BSA has introduced two Gold Star 650 special editions. Birmingham Blue receives deep-blue paint, a patinated silver side-panel badge and a bespoke engine finish. Brooklands Black combines black paint with gold pinstriping, a partially chromed tank, quilted seat and additional premium detailing.
Both retain the existing 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder platform, producing 55Nm, with Brembo brakes, dual-channel ABS, Pirelli tyres and wire-spoked wheels. BSA says the editions will be offered through its global dealer network, but a distinct UK price and dealership arrival date have not yet been confirmed publicly.
Why it matters: These are highly relevant additions to one of Britain’s core modern-classic ranges, although they are cosmetic editions rather than substantive model updates.
Recommended treatment: Already published by MCMN. Include both editions in the weekly round-up; revisit when BSA confirms UK prices and availability.
