1. Only 25 for Britain: Royal Enfield prices anniversary Classic 650 at £8,100
Summary: Royal Enfield has opened registrations for the 125th Anniversary Edition Hypershift Classic 650. The UK receives just 25 examples, priced at a confirmed £8,100 MSRP. Its colour-shifting red, green and gold finish, gilded crest, special badging, hand-painted pinstripes and brown leather seat distinguish it from the standard Classic 650; the 648cc parallel-twin platform is unchanged. Registrations run until 29 October, when dealer sales begin. Royal Enfield says deliveries start from November, although its customer FAQ allows 120–180 days from booking. Why it matters: This is a genuinely scarce, UK-priced modern classic with strong photography, collector interest and a time-sensitive registration window.
2. Yamaha gives the 2027 XSR900 range a double dose of racing nostalgia
Summary: The standard XSR900 gains a Neon White scheme inspired by the pink-accented YZF750R era, while the XSR900 GP receives a Legend Blue treatment referencing Christian Sarron’s Sonauto Yamaha racers. Yamaha’s 2027 UK product pages are now live, but no UK price or dealer-arrival date has been published. The announcement identifies colour and graphic changes rather than an engine or chassis update. Why it matters: Both liveries connect recognisable 1980s and 1990s racing history with one of the strongest current retro platforms. The absence of UK pricing should be made explicit.
