World Ducati Week - Centenary Edition: A Record-Breaking Event Driven By SustainabilityThe Centenary World Ducati Week leaves a legacy of images, emotions and numbers destined to remain in Ducati’s history.

During the three-day celebration, more than 118,000 attendees from 94 countries took part in the event, an unprecedented participation that, from July 3rd to 5th, transformed the Misano World Circuit into the heart of Ducati passion.

Making this extraordinary edition even more significant is the achievement of UNI ISO 20121 certification, the international standard for sustainable event management, which demonstrates Ducati’s ability to design its most important event according to principles of environmental, social and economic responsibility. This recognition has been achieved for the fifth time, following the certified editions of 2016, 2018, 2022 and 2024.

The growth of World Ducati Week over the years has gone hand in hand with the evolution of its organizational model. The Centenary edition is proof of this: an event capable of welcoming a record number of attendees while maintaining a focus on people, the local area, the supply chain and the responsible use of resources.

At the heart of this achievement is a shared effort involving Ducati, its employees, partners, suppliers, institutions, and the entire value chain engaged in the planning and delivery of World Ducati Week. This collective commitment has made it possible to develop an organizational model capable of integrating economic, environmental, and social considerations throughout every stage of the event. For the fifth consecutive edition, this model has been positively assessed by the certification body through audits conducted both during the planning phase and throughout the event itself.

Guiding this process are principles that Ducati considers fundamental to the creation of shared value: inclusion and accessibility, promotion of a culture of sustainability, responsible management of environmental impacts, transparency in relationships with partners and institutions, protection of human rights and the active involvement of all stakeholders.

Inclusiveness and Awareness
World Ducati Week is, above all, an opportunity for people to connect, share experiences, and feel part of the Ducati community. The event is also open to owners of non-Ducati motorcycles and offers free admission for participants arriving from non-EU countries and for minors, as well as dedicated services for people with disabilities.

Special attention was also paid to children, involved in activities designed to introduce them to the world of two wheels in a fun and safe way. At the same time, the presence of enthusiasts, Ducati Official Clubs and importers from around the world transformed WDW into a place for cultural exchange and encounter.

With a view to social responsibility, part of the proceeds from the gear deposit service goes to the ChiAma ChiAma Anti-Violence Centre of the MondoDonna Onlus Association to support the fight against gender-based violence.

A key role was also given to raising awareness of sustainability issues. Through training sessions for employees and collaborators and content shared on Ducati’s digital channels, WDW promoted greater awareness of sustainability objectives and best practices, actively involving all the event stakeholders.

Management and Transparency
Welcoming over 118,000 attendees in three days also means assuming responsibility towards the territory hosting the event. For this reason, World Ducati Week is designed according to an organizational model that aims to combine the experience offered to enthusiasts with careful management of resources and the impact generated by the event.

In this regard, the contribution of local institutions and administrations was crucial, particularly the municipalities of Misano Adriatico, Riccione, Rimini and Cattolica, who collaborated to make the event a success, helping to once again transform the Motor Valley and the Riviera Romagnola into the heart of Ducati passion.

Several initiatives were also implemented during and throughout the event: from the use of electric scooters and e-scooters for staff transportation to compostable tableware in the catering areas, and the promotion of local products and the recovery of surplus food, which was subsequently donated to charities. Participants also had access to refill stations for water bottles, helping to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic.

During all phases of WDW, Ducati managed its relationships with institutions, authorities, and regulatory bodies through constant dialogue and maximum transparency. In line with this approach, the sustainability results achieved during the event will be reported in the World Ducati Week Sustainability Report and made available to all stakeholders involved.

Integrity and Participation
Putting people center stage means ensuring a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all those who participate in World Ducati Week. For this reason, Ducati pays particular attention to protecting people’s rights, supporting the organization of the event with security services, healthcare and a management system designed to ensure the well-being of the participants, workers and stakeholders involved.

In this context, WDW becomes much more than a motorcycle event: it is a meeting place that fosters relationships, cultural exchange and a sense of belonging among thousands of enthusiasts from around the world, united by the same passion for the red bikes from Borgo Panigale.

This approach is part of the Company’s broader commitment to sustainable growth and responsible management of its operations. These principles are fundamental to Ducati’s success and guide the company in product development, stakeholder relations and the organization of its events, in keeping with the values of the Volkswagen Group.
