Exclusively compatible with the SHARK RACE R PRO, SHARK AERON GP and SHARK AERON, this visor has been developed for day time use and is a welcome addition to the SHARK product range. The formation of the partnership with IRID® enables their photochromic technology to be adapted for motorcycle wear. There are four main components to the visor, a liquid crystal film, base lens, mirroring treatment and solar panel.
A small solar panel is mounted at the top of the visor, this powers the unit, negating the need for batteries. Taking less than one second from light hitting the solar panel for the energy to reach the liquid crystal film, making the transition far quicker than traditional photochromic visors. A traditional photochromic visor can take up 40 seconds to transition from clear to dark and minutes to switch back to clear. Not ideal when riding in changing conditions and safety is paramount. To complement the super quick transition there is an anti-fog layer and the visor is 100% waterproof, this means vision will never be compromised, whatever the weather and riding conditions.
Available in three striking colour options, each with a different level of tint. VZ Clearoffers a minimal tint which means it can be used on the road during day time. If you are looking for a more dramatic and intense colour change then VZ Dark and VZ Iridium Blue, which are for track use only, are the perfect choice. Prices start around £339.99, with the VZ Clear being available soon and both VZ Dark and VZ Iridium Blue to follow.
