Premium manufacturers such as Honda, Kawasaki and Triumph dominate the upper tier of high-value claims, illustrating that advanced engineering does not necessarily translate into lower repair costs.
Beyond the headline failures, WSG’s wider dataset also shows a sharp rise in faults linked to modern electronics and rider-assist systems. As more bikes adopt advanced dashboards, integrated ABS systems, ride-by-wire throttles and multi-mode ECUs, diagnostic complexity is increasing, and so are labour hours.
Many of these claims involve multi-component repairs, such as ABS module replacements paired with recalibration or ECU faults requiring extensive electrical tracing.
