Langen Motorcycles has officially launched the production-specification Lightspeed at Gunhill Studios, marking the next major chapter for the British manufacturer.

First shown as a concept in 2023, the Lightspeed is now complete, homologated for the UK and available to order.

This limited-production launch marks the next evolution of Langen – a new-generation heritage manufacturer defined by British craftsmanship, small-batch engineering and timeless design. Founded in 2018 by Christofer Ratcliffe, the company designs and hand-builds limited-production motorcycles that celebrate individuality and mechanical beauty, reviving the lost art of creating machines by hand while applying the precision and performance of modern engineering. Each Langen is built to move the soul as much as it moves the body – a modern expression of Britain’s golden era of craftsmanship, reimagined for today’s riders.
The Lightspeed combines a high-tensile steel space frame, carbon fibre bodywork, Öhlins suspension and HEL Performance braking system. Wherever possible, each element is produced or machined locally, continuing Langen’s commitment to craft and precision.
The Lightspeed is designed as a performance road bike with the comfort to go anywhere and the handling of a sportsbike. Its styling draws subtle cues from 1960s race machinery, carrying forward the brand’s signature proportion and drama while introducing a modern edge and expanded usability.
Each motorcycle is made to order. Owners are invited to the Langen facility in Wigan to finalise paint, finish and detailing. A £1,000 deposit secures a build slot, with the first customer deliveries planned for Summer 2026. Exports to the US and other markets will follow in January 2027.
Speaking ahead of the reveal, Christofer Ratcliffe, Founder and CEO of Langen Motorcycles, said: “The Lightspeed has been part of our story since day one. It takes everything we learned from the Two Stroke and builds on it – more power, more range, more refinement – retaining the emotion that defines a Langen.”
The Lightspeed was shown to invited press and guests at Gunhill Studios on 10 November, followed by its first public display at Motorcycle Live, NEC Birmingham from 15 to 23 November 2025.
