BMW Motorrad UK has partnered with Deus Lodge in Boscombe to produce a bespoke CE 02, a project inspired by Deus Ex Machina’s history for unique custom projects and the distinctive BMW CE 02 eParkourer.
Known as ‘the lodge of heavy leisure’, Deus Lodge is Deus Ex Machina’s home in the UK, a coastal basecamp a short-distance from Boscombe beach. Known for its laid-back energy and atmosphere, Deus Lodge has become a cultural hub for the local community since opening in 2023.
Referencing tones of the Deus Lodge colour palette, the one-off bike features iconic Deus Ex Machina motifs, and was provided to be used as a beachside runaround for Deus Lodge and partners, whether running errands around the local urban area or heading to the beachfront.
Deus Lodge co-founder Ross Morton commented: “The brief we provided BMW Motorrad was for a bike that made sense for all seasons by the sea; light, versatile, and dripping in the Lodge’s tones. The CE 02 matches the Deus ethos of laid back, fun styling, and not taking itself too seriously. The bike looks awesome, we can’t wait to put it to use at the Lodge.”
Introduced in 2024, the production CE 02 is available in two power variants, with a maximum power output of 11 kW (11hp) for riders with a CBT or Category A Motorcycle Licence, and a 4 kW (5hp) version for AM licence holders.
The CE 02 comes with two riding modes as standard “Flow” and “Surf”, with the “Flash” riding mode also available as a sporty addition as part of the HIGHLINE optional equipment. Other standard features include BMW Motorrad ABS (front wheel only), ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and RSC (Recuperative Stability Control), Reverse Assistant, 3.5” Micro-TFT and USB-C socket.
Pricing for the full power variant starts from £8,450, (£7,450 for the AM variant), with 0% APR finance offers available, alongside a £500 deposit contribution until the end of 2025.
