ROOF, French manufacturer of premium motorcycle helmets, unveils the DESMO 3 CARBON, a new evolution of its iconic range of modular reversible helmets. After marking the sector in 2012 with the first DESMO, equipped with a patented system of desmodromic cams allowing the visor to automatically adapt to the configuration of use (Full face or Jet), ROOF reaffirms its leadership in innovation with this new model, approved Jet and Full face to the latest European standard ECE22.06.

The DESMO 3 CARBON stands out with its standard-fitted photochromic visor, offering evolutive, automatic solar protection and without compromise on safety. This is the technical solution favoured by the brand since the arrival of the photochromic visor as an accessory on its BOXXER range.

In this new carbon design, the DESMO 3 is much lighter than its predecessor, and with a weight of only 1570g it positions itself as one of the lightest versatile helmets on the market. The carbon fiber is everywhere, for the composition of the shell of course, but also for the chin bar which sees itself dressed in carbon inserts ensuring lightness and remarkable look..
It also distinguishes itself in the ROOF range by being the only versatile product from the French manufacturer to be equipped with a centralized chin bar unlocking device. More classic, this system will convince with its ergonomics and ease of use, while making the helmet aesthetic wiser in Jet configuration, compared to the iconic ROOF BOXER and its iconic red buttons pointing towards the sky.
Just like for its BOXXER range, ROOF has equipped the DESMO 3 CARBON with its clever comfort customisation system. Additional foams are supplied as standard in the box to allow precise adjustment of comfort by adjusting the volume of the inner lining. Of course, this antibacterial and fast- drying comfort inner lining is completely removable, washable and suitable for glasses wearers. And as always with ROOF, foams at the heart of the comfort cheeks can be removed in order to easily install your intercom kit.
Available only in Carbon version, the DESMO 3 comes in two finishes, shiny carbon or matte carbon, at the recommended retail price of €649 incl. tax. Beyond its remarkable design, signature pencil stroke of the ROOF brand, its photochromic visor and its reduced weight make it the ideal companion for daily use as well as for long motorcycle rides.
