Hidden Gems Among Stand Out Motorbikes For Upcoming H&h Classics AuctionH&H Classics is holding its final classic motorbike and vintage scooter auction of 2026 on Wednesday 28th October and is signing off with an exciting range of lots on offer.

The sale is at the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull, where H&H Classics has already held two successful auctions this year, with 550 lots finding new homes, plus total sales of more than £3.4 million.

Meanwhile, with more than 200 lots on offer, there’s plenty to attract the interest of collectors and enthusiasts alike at the forthcoming auction, including a ‘possibly unrepeatable’ opportunity in the form of a 1953 Vincent Black Shadow Series C.

In need of restoration and preservation, this no reserve example has been newly discovered following 71 years of ownership and around 66 years of storage and is wating to be returned to its former glory.

However, it’s not the only rare restoration opportunity as a c.1973 Triumph X-75 Hurricane is also going under the hammer. It could be fully restored or enjoyed as an Oily Rag.

Estimated at £7,000-£8,000 and one of around 1,200 X-75 Hurricanes built, it was stored in an American barn for many years before being imported to Britain several years ago.

In its current ownership the bike has enjoyed a ground-up restoration to a very high standard and has, subsequently, been the winner of several trophies.

Mike Davis, senior motorcycle specialist at H&H Classics, said: “Our final classic motorcycles and vintage scooters auction of 2026 has a great variety of interesting and desirable lots to bid on, so it promises to be another busy and successful sale.”

Other motorbikes of particular interest include a magnificent early Mk I production 1949 Ariel Square Four which has been given a guide price of £3,000-£4,000. Offered as an unrestored example, it has been in its current family ownership since 1969 and has just one former keeper recorded.

Some fifty years younger is a striking 1997 Honda RVF750R RC45, one of a very limited number of UK market, full-power examples and supplied new to Castrol. The bike, estimated at £23,000-£27,000, is highly usable and ready to ride.

Meanwhile, a “new old-stock” 1987 Honda CBX750P has just 12km on the odometer. Built to Japanese-market specification and stored for most of its life, this exceptionally well-preserved, original machine is estimated at £5,000 – £6,000.

Noteworthy vintage scooters include a 1966 Lambretta SX200 which has been in the same ownership for 26 years and covered less than 500 miles during that time. It is estimated at £7,500-£8,500.

All lots will be available to view in person at the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull, from 1pm on Tuesday 27th October and from 9am on Wednesday 28th October, while the sale then commences at 10am.

Anyone looking to bid on one of the lots can do so in person, online, by telephone or by leaving a commission bid, while for more details about any of the classic motorcycles or vintage scooters, visit www.handh.co.uk.
